Neodymium/NdFeB Magnets

Neodymium/NdFeB Magnets

Category: sintered neodymium magnets/ sintered NdFeB magnets/rare earth magnets

Advantages: high performance-price ratio; high magnetic energy, good machanical properties

Disadvantages: poor temperature characteristic; poor corrosion resistance, surface treatment needed; price is not stable

Neodymium-iron-boron magnets short as Nd-Fe-B magnets, NIB magnets, neo magnets or neodymium magnets. Following called as NdFeB magnets or neodymium magnets.

As a kind of rare earth magnets, neodymium magnets were developed from the year of 1983 , it is the most powerful rare-earth permanent magnet so far, and it sometimes called as super strong magnets.  Neodymium magnets have the higher Br, and BH(max) than any other magnet formula. It has superior magnetic properties than all other magnetic materials , so it is widely used in industry production and daily life.

The outstanding characteristics for neodymium magnets are as follows--------

  • Higher magnetic properties than other magnets which realize the smallest size and lightest weight in designing devices. As a real powerful magnets, have strongest magnetic force.
  • Being mostly an iron based alloy, which make it easy to be oxidation or rust. To eliminate such a problem, the user should consider suitable surface treatment.
  • Being less prone to chipping during handing
  • Lower temperature coefficient of magnetic properties than ceramic but higher than SmCo type rare earth magnet. Therefore, this NdFeB type rare earth magnet will suffer irreversible loss at high temperature
  • The Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets are the next century magnets, that used in a wide range of industries including computer, automobile, electric machinary, electri-sound devices, automatic control, magnetic force mechanism, microwave communication, petrochemical industry, medical apparatus and equipment. The magnets are the ideal materials for the subminiature magnetic devices with high function.

Neodymium-iron-boron(NdFeB )magnets are made from alloys of rare earth elements, such as neodymium, oxide iron, boron,.. It's the latest result of the development of rare-earth permanent magnetic materials. Because of its excellent performance and super strong magnetic force, it called as king magnets. NdFeB(neodymium) magnets with the highest maximum energy, make the instruments and meters, permanent magnetic electrical machinery, magnetic separator more smaller, more lighter  and more thinner .It is used when small size and maximum magnetic power needed.

NdFeB permanent magnets can be divided into bonded NdFeB magnets and sintered NdFeB magnets according to the processing methods. Bonded neodymium magnets is shaped by injecting, sintered neodymium magnets shaped by pressing and sintering in vacuum condition.

Sintered neodymium magnets are high performance magnets and are also the strongest permanent magnets so far. It can be machined into different shapes, such as neodymium ring magnets, neodymium disc  magnets, neodymium block/rectangular/square magnets, neodymium cylinder/rod magnets, neodymium countersunk /countersink magnets, neodymium cone magnets, neodymium segment/arc magnets and neodymium sphere/ball magnets (magnetic balls).

Meank magnetics has very strong processing ability, besides has wide size range of neodymium magnets for sale,we produce more and more irregular shapes. Please not hesitate to send us magnets inquiry and magnets order. We'll be your reliable sintered neodymium magnets manufacturer/producer.
