Brief Introduction And Classification Of Magnetic Separators

Magnetic separator is used to purify coolant (cutting oil or emulsifier) of grinder and other machine tools. It is mainly used for automatic separation of ferromagnetic materials, keeping cutting fluid clean, improving processing performance and tool life, and reducing environmental pollution. The separator drum uses powerful magnetic force to separate ferromagnetic chips and abrasive chips from the cutting fluid (oil, water quality) of the machine tool to realize automatic separation. To improve the quality of processing products, reduce costs and improve production efficiency.

Magnetic separator is a universal separator. Structurally, it can be divided into (I, II) two forms.

I (Cot Type) magnetic separator consists of the following parts: reducer, box, magnetic roller, and cot. The reducer drives the rotating motion of the magnetic roll. After the cooling fluid containing powder magnetic impurities enters the box, the impurities are absorbed on the outer wall of the magnetic roll. After the roller is rolled, the liquid entrained by the impurities is extruded. Finally, the scraper separates the impurities from the magnetic roll. KFCT I series magnetic separators are widely used in surface grinders, internal and external grinders and centerless grinders for purifying cutting fluids containing powder impurities.

II (comb type) series magnetic separator consists of the following parts: reducer, box, magnetic roller and scraping board. As an improved product of traditional magnetic separator, KFCT II (comb type) magnetic separator has many advantages: the same length of magnetic roller is comb-shaped, the adsorption area will be greatly increased; the magnetic force is large, the separation rate is high; it is especially suitable for centralized separation and removal of large flow cooling fluid; it can separate granular chips.
